Green Smoothie Bowl is a cool, refreshing breakfast for a hot summer morning!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 ripe avocado
  • 1 medium frozen ripe banana
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 2 cups raw spinach leaves
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla nut milk
  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseeds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1-2 cups ice
  • 1 serving protein or collagen powder (plain or vanilla would work well)
  • Optional toppings: Berries, ground flaxseeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, slivered almonds,
  • chopped nuts, drizzle of a natural sweetener

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Add more ice to create a thicker bowl.
  3. Add more almond milk for a thinner bowl.
  4. Add honey, maple syrup, or brown rice syrup for a sweeter bowl.
  5. Add more avocado or spinach for a greener bowl.
  6. Add a smile for a happier bowl.
