Client Success Story: 40 lb. Weight Loss

I hope you all had a nice Fourth of July yesterday! I spent the holiday weekend up north in Boyne City, MI with my family. I have been going up north on the Fourth for years–it is tradition and the Fourth of the July wouldn’t be the same anywhere else. It is my happy place. I will be sharing picture soon! Today, I want to introduce you to one of my clients and share her story with you.

Megan just completed a 6 Month Signature Private Coaching Program. Her and I started working together last December and over the past six months I have watched her do a complete 180 with her life. Aside from her 40 lb. weight loss (woot woot!), she has gotten rid of her migraines, reversed chronic health conditions, and has completely changed her eating habits. Beyond the food, nutrition, and medical changes in her life, she has blossomed into a more confident woman; she lights up a room with positivity and laughter when she walks into it. She has become more social, has started a consistent routine of personal training and barre classes at B Present Studio, and inspires friends, family, and her daughter to make healthier choices too! I know this is just the beginning for her and I can’t wait to see all of the wonderful things she will do with her life.

I have observed all of these changes from the outside looking in, but I would like to share Megan’s testimonial with you, so you can hear from her how her life has changed:

About a year ago, I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes, migraines, and high blood pressure; I was prescribed nine different medications to take daily. I decided that I needed to take care of my health if I wanted to be around for my daughter, so I met with Gina in December 2014 for an Initial Breakthrough Session. We discussed what goals I had in mind and how she could help me reach those goals. I decided that I was sick and tired of being sick and tired, so I took the plunge and started Gina’s 6 Month to Wellness private coaching program in January 2015.
My #1 goal was to lose weight and start being healthy, so, I started off by making small changes in my diet. I’ve always failed at other programs I’ve done when trying to lose weight, but by following Gina’s recommendations, I now completely understand why—I wasn’t eating the right kinds of food for my body! Since everyone’s body responds differently, Gina helped me realize what I needed to fuel MY body properly. I have since incorporated more whole foods into my diet and have eliminated much of the refined sugar and processed foods I was eating. I no longer crave bad foods! Month after month, I continued making small changes—stopped eating fast food all together, brought my lunches and snacks to work instead of eating out, made healthy dinners for my daughter and I, and started physical activity. The weight came off, my confidence has gotten stronger, and my migraines are almost completely gone!
As I continue to move forward in my weight loss journey, I know that it will only continue to get better and better! At the beginning of the 6 Months to Wellness program, I only focused on changing my body, but now that my program has come to an end, I realize Gina has helped me with much more than that—she’s helped me with my body AND mind. So if you are at that point in your life where you want to make a change to your health and make it a priority in your life, I highly recommend this program! Gina has helped with so many different aspects of my life that I didn’t know would change once I started. But one thing is for sure….. I couldn’t have done any of this without her!

I truly feel blessed to have worked with Megan, as well as all of my other current and past clients. Each success story is a little bit different, but there is a common theme between all of them: each and every single person walks away with more confidence, a food lifestyle plan that fuels their individual body, and a sense of accomplishment by achieving the health and wellness goals they have set for themselves. Many times, clients will thank me, but I remind them to thank themselves; they are the ones making the changes, putting in the hard work, and improving their lives each and every single day by taking one step at a time.

If you are inspired by Megan’s story and think working with a health coach may be for you, I encourage you to reach out to me at for more information. Have a wonderful day!
