Cravings Workshop Recap

Cravings Workshop = Success! Thanks in part to B Present Studio for hosting, local businesses donating coupons and samples, and all of the beautiful women who attended!

It is so common for people to suffer from cravings–either sweet or salty! It is definitely sweet for me! Many times, people beat themselves up about their cravings, thinking that they are weak or have no will power. My intention for the workshop was to help people understand that cravings are not weaknesses, but actually messages from your body that it is in need of something!

I use to suffer from severe cravings. I would find myself being “good” all week and then wind up face planting in a box of cookies! Guilt would set in and I would feel bad about myself. This was a negative cycle that use to repeat itself! Once I understood why I was having cravings, I was able to take small steps over time to eliminate them! Not that something sweet doesn’t ever sound good, because it does, but I am able to satisfy myself with a small amount! No more feelings of guilt and negative self-talk!

I was so happy to be able to share the information that helped me eliminate my cravings with the women who attended the workshop.

Rein Juicery, a new juice bar in South Bend, passed out juice samples! My favorite is the Gangster Green which is a mix of cucumber, kale, parsley, swiss chard, celery, lemon, and ginger. They offer some sweeter, more fruity options too. You can take a look at their menu here.

Three brothers, Scott, Todd, and Nick, own the juice bar. They are so nice and are always quick to welcome you when you walk into their store. If you haven’t been before, you have to check it out!

I put together a goodie bag for all the women who came to the workshop! Thank you to the companies below who helped make the goodie bag a reality!

The KIND Company donated Cashew and Ginger Spice Bars for the women who attended. My absolute favorite flavors are Caramel and Sea Salt and Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt. Hmmm… do you think I like sweet and salty? The KIND Company has been kind to me and has sent me samples to taste and review. You can read all about my opinion on their Vanilla Blueberry Vanilla Clusters with Flax Seeds here and see what my other favorite bar flavors are here.

Martin’s Supermarket donated an “Eat Smart, Be Well” grocery store tour gift certificate for one lucky winner! Click “Eat Smart, Be Well Video” link below to see who won! They also donated a That’s It snack bar for the goodie bag!
